JH was smooth as silk....His era was when I actually watched the NBA, I haven't watched much NBA in the last 35 plus years.

I can't even bring myself to watch the playoffs.

Of course, in all honesty, I don't enjoy any professional sports any more except for the PGA.

Watched him play many games. He would run his opponent into the ground and still be fresh as a daisy. He played when fundamentals of the game were important.

The game of basketball is a different thing than the game I grew up playing and watching. I really miss a lot of the aspects of the old game.

I'm old enough to remember John Havilcek, but barely  I enjoyed the NBA up through the Magic Johnson/Larry Bird era, and certainly appreciated Michael Jordan, too. I must admit that I rarely if ever watch anymore as well.

Can you imagine how many points in college players like Maravich or Bird would have scored if they had threes in their college days. Game has changed for the worse. Today's players are better athletically but not fundamentally. It is incredible however that no-one can seem to slow down James Harden. He shoots a lot but just shoots 44% from the field and 36% from 3 point land. It says he averages 24.5 shots a game. I thought it would be more.
