The new mac?  Sweet JEEBUS it's amazing.  I have a question, I'm running both windows 7 (Parallels 10) and Yosemite.  I have three crucial Windows programs I can't live without.  Almost ALL of my surfing will be done on the Mac side with Safari but I figure I gotta get virus protection...

Which Virus protection do those of you who know this stuff much more than me recommend?  I pretty much just did malware bytes on the old pc and surfed on my laptop.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Not needed brother.. http://www.apple.com/osx/what-is/security/

However, if you ever suspect you have malware use ClamXAV, which is available in the Mac App Store I believe. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT download MacKeeper or any of that other stuff. They're more trouble than their worth.

Thanks buddy!  So as long as I only surf on Safari, I should be okay?

Yup! I've been on Mac for years and have used Safari and Firefox mostly, Chrome a little, never had a problem.

Gotta say, this machine is K.I.L.L.E.R.  iMac 5k retina topped out.  I just found out, btw, that the pc I'd been doing photo work on for years was only running on TWO GIGS OF RAM!  I don't know how long that's been, I know it had 4 at one time and I guess one of the cards failed.  Now I'm at friggin 32!  It's awesome.  I LOVE this machine!  I wish the makers of my three Windows programs would just go ahead and make Mac versions!
