Kacy is one of the finest human beings on the face of the planet....I've known him since he was 5 years old. I was on his high school football staff his 4 years of HS and still stay in touch with him from time to time. I've not talked to him in several months....the Jets coaching staff is coaching for their jobs right now.

The new coach at UT has his work cut of for him before he ever coaches his first game....There are issues within the team that has to be fixed...the culture has to be fixed.

Well hell, if that's true I guess no one will ever take a job in the West either.   

Says Florida has overtaken us and left us behind.  Well, that was true from about 2006 to 2013, but we have gone toe to toe with them every year since.  Should really have won at least three of the last four.    

The difference with hiring a coach in the West is they have to beat Bama once to get to Atlanta.....At UT it's most likely that we have to beat Bama twice. Case in point.....If Auburn beats Bama in 2 weeks they don't have to worry about facing Bama again in Atlanta. Coaches are hired at UT to win championships and not SEC East championships. Don't think for one second coaches don't look at that stuff before taking jobs.

indicated to me that FCBJ did NOT handle the firing well, as Currie initially said with the "professional" term.  The response was far more curt than required, which indicates to me that it was not a fun morning. He also said it was "silly" to bring up things like FCBJ calling recruits after he was fired.

IMO Butch knows this was his shot at the big time and failed. Like Dooley who got his shot and failed and neither Botch or Dooley will head coach a major P5 school again.

Butch will be fired on Monday..............................................between this Monday and 2022.

Game tied....MSU had a chance to go win the game but Mullen's went all Botch Jones and got the pucker factor.....Went 3 and out and the rest is history. When you are a heavy underdog you got to take chances....chances got them in that position tonight and he Botched Jones it.

It's almost laughable.....No coaching and less players.

Shows what happens when you have a defense that stops the run and puts the QB on his ass.

We don't get pressure on the QBs.....Mizzou QB will pick us a part if he's on tonight. UGA would have had 2 more TDs the first half against Auburn because he had WRs wide open for TDs....but it's hard to throw when your ass is on the ground. We just don't pressure the QB and the Mizzou QB gets rid of the ball quick.

I've watched the ND vs Miami 30 for 30 2 times....it was on several months ago too. When I watch it there are several plays that today would be reversed by replay that they didn't have back then.

He's right about Trey Smith.....I was with him and his family with coaches Saban, Meyer, Dabo visiting. He could have gone anywhere in the country. I will say that Butch did one hell of a job recruiting him.....and went back 4-5 years ago.

I keep reading about the fight and never give up of the team. It does not matter how much fight you have or never give up attitude if you are poorly coached and never put in a position to win. IMO Butch does not trust his players. Thus you have game planning and play calls that seem to setup failure. If the coach has no trust in his players, how can you expect the players to trust the coaches. Therefore, you get what appears to be a schism among the players. A Butch system requires highly talented and/or experienced players that can succeed in spite of coaching. At least that is the way I perceive this team under Butch.

Butch want's to play players that practice well even thought some aren't the better players.....Being involved in the game for over 30 years some of the best players over those years played when the lights came on and were not great practice players....they were bored in practice. Turn them game lights on and they turned into different animals. That is just the way some athletes are made.....as a staff you have to be able to identify who those players are and adjust.

This is a bad coached football team.....We can change out position coaches (which we've done) and see no improvement....it's the system. Like Doug Mathews said Sunday on his show the only way this offense can have success is having a QB (like Dobbs). If we don't then we have a offense that looks like the Worley...Dormady and Gitmo run offense. We have no backside offense unless the QB keeps it. We lead the defense to our ball carrier 99% of the time.
