Not over it yet. He ruled our household. The last 6 months was hard because he went down more every week. We were blessed he died at home and we didn't have to make the decision. Thankful for that.
Same with me, but it only took 2 months. Toward the very end, I was about to take her in to the vet, but then she went in her sleep. Last couple of months were tough. She had a brain tumor and lasted over 2 years, which all the vets told me was the upper end of expected survival. And didn't show much in the way of symptoms until the last two months. So really a lot to be grateful for, but man was that a rough couple of months.
