Funny, everyone wants to move to Florida and I can't stand it anymore after 22 years. Oh mind you I wasn't HEREfor 22 years. I had a house here and I was in some Godforsaken part of the world yelling at the communications guys to get the damn Tennessee game on. I watched the National Championship from a tent in the desert. I was gone 6-8 months out of the year. More than once I forgot to tell girlfriend v12.0 she could not have another boyfriend while I was gone. I had to tell her official cover stories of where I was and that got her (them) busted.

I will miss some things and many people, but I need to be close to better medical facilities and a larger VA Med Center. Nashville has both and that puts me about 2.5 hours from mom in Kentucky and about 2 hours from all the rest of my Dad's family in Tennessee. Just far enough I can get there yet not be bothered by them.

Gotta remodel the inside if the house and get it on the market and then head north. I think it will actually be fun to be able to go out and have something to do. I'm looking forward to a change and mom needs me closer.

Good luck on the move, the selling of the house.
Good to hear you are moving back to Tennessee!

You will be welcomed back with open arms! We've never forgotten you and you can never do better than comming back home.

I lived in Charleston, SC from late '89 'till eartly '92. There were AF & N bases there and plenty of militarty wives. I have never in my life seen so much "fooling around" by spouses as when I was there.

I hate that you had similar experiences, breaks my heart. Time to get grounded in again in your culture back home in Tennessee! We'll welcome you home!
