I think TnPhil is right that a lot has been run oft and some not developed well ("who is Kongbo" Alex: "that's correct, your board"). And yes, some of the players were for a spread offense, particularly JG, but it's not like JG is that great a runner anyway, or compared to Dobbs he isn't.
But skill players are skill players. Our RBs and WRs seem fine. Is there such a thing as a "spread OL"? If so, put him in! Better than the almost nonexistent ones we have now.
My point is I get what you are saying about the spread vs. pro set. Just wondering what position that really matters for, other than QB or maybe FB?
There is such a thing as undersized OL that are going to be quicker and more nimble. They were supposed to make Butch's infallible offense work. As he found out, that doesn't cut it in the SEC, and now Jeremy Pruitt is paying for it.
