Notice he didn't say "as a coach".  I am guessing, but I assume he's vouching for his character only.  In which case, anything that cheating bag of douche says is not admissible in court due to not being a credible witness.

Yeah, but Corch Herban vouched for him, too.  Maybe he helped him keep a future serial killer or two eligible at OSU.
