I hate to be insensitive here but these folks south of New Orleans...that were under a mandatory evacuation order....that did not learn from Katrina...and are now trapped....should not be rescued (if not for the innocent kids they probably have with them). People are putting their own lives in danger to rescue these folks who are incapable of learning.

In Mississippi, two adults and an infant were rescued from a houseboat!!! Trying to ride out a hurricane in a houseboat???? With an infant???? Really? If not fer the kids, I would let em fend for themselves.

Sorry to rant but I just dont have much patience for super-stupid people...I can deal with the mildly stupid.

I am sorta like Revolver....was a vol fan, listened to most of the games on the radio with my best friend and his Dad.  But, I was in the Army when we upset Miami, 1-1 86, and the pride I had in my state and being from TN was kicked into a new gear.  That is when I understood that it meant more to me than just a football game.  For me, it was about state pride...been a Vol  homer ever since. I guess that is the day my glasses turned orange.

It is only forcast to hit as category 1...alot smaller than Katrina.

Most states have a two week season on the Resident Giant Canada Geese that runs from Sept 1-15.  We encourage golf courses that have problems to just shut down for one or two week days and let the members or whomever hunt. After one or two hunts, the geese will vamoose. They do not like being harassed and learn quickly what buckshot is. 

Just picked a mess of cucumbers, squash, peppers and greenbeans.
