A Gator pointing out douchebag players. Up until a couple years ago, they had an uninterrupted streak of douchebags: Jason Williams, Teddy Dupay, Matt Walsh, Kimmy Noah, and that ugly white guy whose name I can't remember that took a cheap shot at Tyler Smith. From what I can tell, they don't currently have anyone on their roster who makes me hate them like those guys did. That's too bad. I think they play OM this week, I'll be pulling for them not just to win, but to set a few hard, cheap picks on Henderson.

Lol. Ron Slay? Really?
If you want to talk about UT douchebags, you could at least bring up someone who was enough of an ass to fit in the category, like Tony Harris.
I really don't understand the hatred of Slay. He was loud, he was demonstrative, he talked some good-natured (and funny) trash, but he kept it on the court. He was also constantly named by his peers as one of the most respected players in the SEC. Basically, he was a college version of Charles Barkley. In the end, I think all the hate stemmed from the headband. Nobody thinks twice about them now, but he was rocking the headband before headbands were cool. Couple that with his boisterous personality, and it made him a natural target for opposing fans. Did he ever get in front of an opposing student section and yell "fizzle you redneck MickeyFickeys" at the top of his lungs? Because Matt Walsh did. I was there, six rows up.

Although the urban crier/liar is a great recruiter, that tactic can backfire on you too.
Just once, I'd like to see a recruit call their bluff when a coach pulls that sleazy crap. If just one kid says, "Okay, coach. Go pound sand. I'm decomitting.", it would go a long way toward alleviating those tactics.

Yes. It is. My dislike for him is greater than my dislike for anyone in sports, I think . . . Geno Auriemma and Lane Kiffin not withstanding. I would put him at the top of my list of Top 5 People I Would Love To Smack In The Mouth.
Fantastic player. But he may run his mouth at opposing players and fans more than any other player ever in college sports . . . which is quite a feat.
Honestly, I haven't even seen him play. I missed both of our games against OM, and I haven't seen them otherwise. But I did read his "10 times out of 10" comment after our game last week, and it really made me hope we see them again in the SECT.

This guy irritates me so much I'll be rooting for Kentucky to beat Ole Miss on Tuesday... I don't think I have ever pulled for Kentucky in a game of basketball.
I can't root for UK- not right now, under these circumstances. If the season ended today, UK would be NIT bound. I don't want them to get that first quality win that would give the selection committee an excuse to put them in the big dance. So I'll reluctantly root for OM. But if some UK goon were to knock Henderson the fizzle out, I wouldn't object to that either.

There is little doubt that Mike Hamilton will go down as the worst athletics director in UT history.

Just coming to post it as I just saw the news. It's not like this will screw up the Cowboys any worse. Should be interesting when Dooley and Jason Witten meet face to face. Didn't they have a spat when Dooley tried to block all the alumni from visiting practices?

Well, that explains why they hadn't come to terms with Prado. In the long run, this looks to be a good trade. But short term, it leaves a big hole. TWO big holes until McCann comes back. I' m surprised the Braves would part with Prado, and given his contract status, I'm surprised the D-Backs would want him. He was most valuable because of his versatility, and ability to play every position. He was a utility man who happened to hit like an all-star. CAC has some very good analysis. BTW, this is a site that every Braves fan should bookmark, if you haven't already. They get pretty geeky with stats and numbers sometimes, but you won't find better info anywhere. http://capitolavenueclub.com/
