I relied on my ps3 heavily as a blu ray player so I'll likely get one.  The new ps3 super slims look and are VERY quiet which was an irritation with my old ps3 when watching movies.  The noise was distracting.  I guess I feel somewhat fortunate it lasted 4 and a half years.

What big titles are slated for Spring?

Well, all the ones I mentioned above, plus Dead Space 3, a new Gears of War, Crysis 3, and The Last of Us. 

Is there a window of time that people are expecting the ps4?  Ugh, Just got AC3.  Idk if I can wait that long but it seems close enough to consider it.

It and the new XBox aren't even confirmed at this point.  But with the unusually big number of big titles coming out this Spring, everyone is just assuming that this is the last hurrah for the current-gen consoles, and that all the usual 4Q releases will be for the new systems.  E3 is in June, that is the latest we should hear something.  But probably earlier.  Most insiders expect both Sony and Microsoft to hold announcement events for their new consoles in April or June, and use E3 to tease all the new games for them.

They're not available on the iPad.  Tablet-wise, they're pretty much exclusive to the Kindle Fire.  But they are on Xbox and most Blu Ray players.  Prime is a pretty good deal- 80 bucks a year gets you access to their streaming library and free 2 day shipping on most products you buy on the website.

After swearing that I would leave Netflix when they split their digital/mail subscriptions and essentially hiked the price on everyone, I'm starting to like them more and more. They're finally building their database to the point that it's worth the monthly fee, and original material like this just makes it that much better.

I'd like to see a great deal more work go into continuing to expand the streaming database to include older movies, but at least there has been some improvement.

BTW, how old do you consider "Old" for a movie?  Because Amazon Prime has pretty good collection, and compliments Netflix nicely.  But I'm talking REALLY old.  Like Casablanca and Citizen Kane old.  In fact, I've been acquainting myself with Hitchcock's work- recently viewed North by Northwest and Vertigo.

They're also bringing back Arrested Development.  It's supposedly in production and set to return later this year.  Can.  Not.  Wait.

I went into Gamestop yesterday and preordered GTA5, Bioshock, Tomb Raider, and South Park.  They all come out within a month of each other (assuming GTA isn't delayed).  GS is going to put a serious dent in my disposable income this Spring.

I'm willing to give Cuonzo a pass this year.  Losing Maymon is a big blow.  And I still want him to succeed- I like the guy.  But in the event we do have to replace him one of these days, I'll be all for bringing Bruce back.

I think Sony will be out of the consumer electronics business within 5 years.  The only smart moves they've made in the past two decades were to diversify into media and gaming.  Those are the only things that are going to save their bacon as a company.

That scenario happening is hopefully not too far away, but in terms of anything else - recruiting, head to head, Bama winning does not help us. They directly compete against us in recruiting, and right now they can cherry pick guys, even from our state.

Yep- see Barrett Jones, who's from Memphis, and may go down as the greatest OL in the history of the SEC.  It's sickening, and I'll be damned if I'm going to standby and cheer for bammer and others to continually rape us on signing day.  And make no mistake- you actively pull for bammer in games like this, that's exactly what you're doing.

I haven't wondered how they do it.  I have joked and said they are using HGH, but who knows.  They just look so much bigger than anyone else.  Ever great school has a good S & C program, so I don't get the difference in how bama looks vs how other teams look.

All I know is that even when we had a roster full of SEC caliber players (which we obviously do NOT right now), we only had maybe one or two guys on the roster who could bench FIVE hundred pounds.  And they have "several" who can bench six?  Hmm.

...a good start, but not a cure-all.  I dare say there are more than four teams who are better than ND.  Yes, ND would've gotten in over a more deserving team anyway, but at least if it were a field of 8 or 16 they'd be taking the spot from a more deserving team who nonetheless probably didn't have a shot of winning it all.  

Yep.  Of course, I would've also been nauseous had the outcome been reversed.

But I just don't get this SEC loyalty thing, especially when it comes to bammer.  You people who were rooting for them out of conference pride, do you think the SEC is going to send you a loyalty bonus check in the mail or something?  I just don't get it.

Well, The Bachelor premieres tonight.  But it's a lot like Notre Dame football- just a bunch of women desperate to score.

Windows 8 is...interesting.  Anyone else have it yet?  I think once I get used to it, I'll really like it.  But it's going to take some time.

I can't imagine that they'd allow him to go to an SEC school, but even if they did, would he be much of a factor at UT?  I mean, Driskel isn't exactly an All-American, and Brissett couldn't even beat him out for the starting job at UF.  We're pretty much starting over from square one anyway, so I'd rather do it with younger guys than transfers who will only be here for a year or two.
