Title: Saw a headline on yahoo today..."Vols lack of depth at QB a real concern going

into upcoming season". It is a concern, with only Peterman returning. Hopefully one of the freshman can develope enough to be an adequate backup. Hopefully Dobbs can stay healthy. They are trying to get him to learn take less unnecessary hits than last year. Hard to do that and keep his level of aggressiveness. Has Dobbs ever missed any time due to injury?

Peterman is graduating or has graduated and is transferring to Pittsburgh. A true freshman will be the backup.

This will be year three of rebuilding this program from a sunbelt-caliber roster to an SEC roster (and it's really year two, because Butch's first class was mostly composed of Dooley recuits).  I'd rather have concerns about our backups than our starters, as has been the case for the past several seasons.  Maybe we'll one day reach a point where we have only seasoned upperclassmen in the two-deep, but we're not there yet.

This roster has concerns, sure.  But so does every other team in this league, especially in the East.  In fact, I'd say our roster stacks up favorably with anyone in our division right now.

This.

And also those yammering "our best QB is not on campus yet" will be happier if a true frosh is the backup.
