I hate this f?ing song!

Which one?  They opened the game with an Ozzie Osbourne/Black Sabbath song "War Pigs". I was like...WTF??? Also not a big fan of the AC/DC song "Highway to Hell that was played at the start of the 2nd half.

I'm like...did we just go full satanist? I mean, really.

But please tell me you are NOT talking about "Friends in Low Places".  I mean, can you actually be American and not like that song?

Having said that, I'm not sure I understand that song as our open the 4th quarter song...the Vols are...in low places?  A bit of a head scratcher.

I loved the Sabbath and AC/DC songs
I hate the fizzleing Garth song!
Much prefer either the two songs above but would really prefer Copperhead Road for the 4th quarter song

They also played the 1st bars of Scarry Rocky Top as well last night

On the 3rd down where they were backed up on their own (North end) goal line they played 3rd Down for What - the only reason I know that was they flashed it on the Jumbotron, couldn't hear it!

I love the Garth song, but do get that it's overplayed.  And as I say above, it's a head-scratcher as a motivational song as the singer is kind of admitting he's a loser, but sorry bro, it's one of the better songs ever IMO.

I prefer not to associate our team with the likes of what I consider scum...Ozzie and AC/DC, but to each their own.

I do agree on Copper Head road....I personally love that song having spent 8 years in HS and college in the heart of East Tennessee  ....my only reservation is that I am not sure there is a short enough clip that would fit...it's a "story song" and it takes a long time to work up to the "good parts" and not sure they would make sense to a wider audience.  But maybe it could be done...

We did play Copperhead Road once while the Carney Barker was here

We also played Ecstasy of Gold (one of my very favorite songs) after the during the USC(e) game after Pig Howard fumble the ball through the end zone trying to beat uga in OT)

Speaking of music, I noticed the Pride has added the closing score of Raiders of the Lost Arc. Whenever I hear that, all I can think of is: TOP. MEN.

Didn't Jesus tell you not to judge lest you be judged? Repent!  I'm kidding. You must not know much about Steve Earle if he is "ok" in your mind and the others aren't.

Ha, good point, Earle is in fact not much better than those.  Heroin and Cocaine addiction, married 7 times, kid out of wedlock, etc etc.

Great points, but at least he isn't openly satanic, like two members of Black Sabbath, and has not said of the "backwards masking" controversy "why do we need to back mask? it's all there openly in 'Highway to Hell'"

And of course in addition to that, the incredible amount of drugs and alcolhol both bands have consumed, the fact that AC/DC openly endorse and were proud that a member of their band choked to death on his own vomit from overdrinking.

Steve Earle may live that type of life, but doesn't brag about it openly in his music at least is my point.

I think Earle is clean now, and is a great songwriter. I like most of his stuff, some of AC/DC, never was a Black Sabbath fan.

I had to google Ecstasy of Gold...its what I call The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly Song, but I whole heartedly endorse it.

To me, Ozzy and Sabbath were the kings of Heavy Metal back in the day
Can still cite the lyrics for several of their songs, through Vol 4 (Supernaught from that album is my favorite)

AC/DC live was fantastic

Actually wanted themm to play Back in Black in the pregame
