Why Cali? I have no idea, unless that's where he is from. I can understand him transferring, though...he only had five catches last year.
He is from Spring Hill, TN, and is the nephew of Brandon Wharton, the Wharton who played basketball at Tennessee in the late 90s. Five catches as a freshman, including one for a TD in the bowl game. Confusing decision, IMO, unless he was told by the coaches that he was unlikely to see playing time in the future.
