VaTech AD was Butch's AD at Cincy and thinks highly of him. Just sayin'.  :naughty:

The talk on that one seems to be centered around Mullen

It's gotten really ridiculous.  There is even less justification for Miles' firing than there was for Fulmer's, and his buyout is an EYE-POPPING $15 million.

If there are some big money boosters pledging to pay that, they are clinically insane, I don't care how much money they have.

Instant gratification indeed.... :frown:

I will say this...Miles was in trouble before he saved it in 2010-11, so it's not like this is the first time they have questioned him.  Still, this is premature.  At least wait for a losing or near-losing season.

It's highly likely that LSU gets worse and not better, although they have tons of talent and are in the 6th best state for recruiting in the nation with Florida and Texas nearby, so they likely don't flop as badly as we did.

I read the piece on ESPN.  It's not by any means a sure thing, and he hasn't met with the AD yet as was rumored last week.

My guess is, the alumni/board are ratcheting up the heat and that the real message is that if this happens again next year he's gone.

They would be insane to try and find a coach in this environment, with multiple openings at other high profile programs.

Yes, and I think Mullen takes it. It would be a great fit for him.
