Well, after seeing three doctors and having the MRI reviewed by three radiologists, they agree that it's a complete tear of the tendon along with the torn muscles. So, it looks like I'll be having surgery next Wednesday and will have to use a full leg brace for several weeks after that. I'm guessing that I'm going to be on the injured reserve list for most, if not all, of the Vols football tailgating season.
Maybe some of my younger family members can pick up some of the slack. I know it'll be a HUGE challenge replacing me, but....
Well, best of luck to you, Tony. We'll keep you on the prayer list.
My advice: Take all the meds they give you. I tried to "man-up" when I had my hip replaced because I have a pretty high pain tolerence. I didn't think I felt all that bad. After all, I had gone 18 years since I was told to have the hip replaced. I sure made those around me miserable when I shouldn't have. It pains your family whan they know you hurt and I was probably a bigger a-hole than I thought I was at the time.
Second peice of advice: It will be a very long time between now and whenever it is that you will get waited on, hand and foot, like this again; MAKE THE MOST OF IT!!!
