Punter has a stress fracture in his foot.  We were borderline to make the NIT anyway.  It may be doubtful now.  Too bad.  He was really playing well. (most of the time)

We're 13-14 (I think).  Even if we were to win out (short of winning the SECT), we probably wouldn't have made the NIT.  Sucks for Punter, though.

Definitely sucks for Punter but this will mean some great developmental time for Shembari Phillips. There could be some future dividends from this, if one were to look for silver linings.

Most of us didn't expect any postseason play this year, right?

The rest of the team played really well against a pretty good LSU team with him out.  As good as he's been and as much as I appreciate his contribution, the team may have been depending on him too much and may actually do better without him.

Or not, but younger players will have to step up and he is gone after this year anyway.

JMO...but it's never good losing the 2nd leading scorer in the SEC. But I agree...it will get us started early on next season.
