I know absolutely nothing about wine, but TRObh will drink it occasionally.  A while back on a "date night," she described what she liked to the bartender (basically, "sweet") and he recommended Barefoot Moscato.  It turns out that she really likes it.  With that in mind, are there some others you think she might like?

If she likes Moscato I don't know if I can help her. That's some sweet stuff.

However, she might like an off-dry French or German Riesling. The sweetness is not up front and cloying but comes on the finish. For German wines look for Spatlese on the label (although those can be dry) but she should not start with anything that has "trocken" (dry) on the label.  Ask the person at the wine shop for "off-dry" French or German white wines. She also might like an off-dry Chenin Blanc.

German white wines are what I started with.

It's a California red but it's distributed (and partially owned I believe) by a company called BNA Wine Group which is located in Nashville. I think that the BNA guy in Nashville is named John Hooper. Anyone know him?

The wine is not called "Volunteer" for UT but because the winemaker in California is a volunteer firefighter, but the tie-in is interesting. They also make a wine called "Orange Volunteer".

I'm sure everyone will find this fascinating.

Some points:

1. Good grief. (Pun not intended.)
2. That's why I don't listen to sports talk radio. The internet is bad enough, I'm certainly not going to listen to the nuts.
3. Some (many) people take sports much too seriously. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that the blubberer didn't even go to UGA, maybe not even college at all.
4. I've said for some time now that you should have to pass a test before being allowed to speak on TV or radio.
5. Good grief. (Pun not intended. That audio was actually bad grief.)

I got the game through ESPN Gameplan which I bought again this year. It was not in HD and the picture was not good. But now I'm watching the replay on SportsSouth and it's in HD and looks great.

The question is: For people purchasing the pay per view in Tennessee and not on ESPN Gameplan, was it in HD?

According to the talking heads last night, faking injuries is now part of the game plan against hurry-up teams. I don't know which injuries last night were real or fake but I'm pretty sure more than one was fake.

In just a matter of months he has gone from one of the most well liked sports figures to one of the most disliked.

Normally I would agree with this. But their schedule is such a wuss walk that this year it might be different. The only real games left on their schedule are a home game vs. FSU and a game at South Carolina.

They could waltz to the BCS championship game. The only two decent teams left on the schedule are FSU and South Carolina.

On a related note, I believe that in the next 2-3 years, the NCAA will pass some kind of limiting rule on the hurry up offense. I'm not saying I'm pro or con concerning that, but I truly believe it will happen.

Who the heck knows? I don't when they have played a more overmatched opponent.

But they beat them like they should have. 

So on to the next game. Western Kentucky should be a considerably tougher opponent.

Do you know that ESPN3 is not a TV channel? It's only on the internet. I guess they could run it through the TV but I don't know if anyone does that.
