Louis Armond Vouvray (2010)($11.00)
A French white that's 100% Chenin Blanc. Fruity and medium-bodied, technically dry but theres a nice off-dry quality followed by a tart and tangy acidity on the finish. Many people remember the "Chenin Blanc" jug wines of the 70's* and don't know that many excellent wines are made with this grape varietal. The Vouvray region of the Loire Valley produces the best. Tonight's wine is an excellent sipper with an alcohol level of 12%.



*Inglenook was my favorite. Not bad. It was the at the beginning of my interest in wine. Chenin Blanc was the most widely grown white grape in California until the growing popularity of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc changed things in the 70's. Also, the quality of the Chenin Blanc wines was less than stellar due to the producers concentrating more on quantity. A lot of jugs were being sold.

Droner, are you going to make them pay a penalty fee?

Penalty Fee? Those asshats cut everybody's fees but their own. I frequently have it out with them because they "quote" my fees for me. And they're always lower than what I charge. So the client expects the lower fee. 

It doesn't happen that often but it has happened the last two days. Sun spots I guess.

I'll say it again...I truly believe that one day the unversities with the big athletic programs will leave the NCAA and form their own association. It almost happened once before (or at least was bluffed) when Vince Dooley threatened them with the CFA, I believe it was called.

Then let's see how the NCAA operates when their cash cow is reduced to the have-nots, the Div. I-AA, oops sorry, the FCS and Division II and III.

I'm not for letting the cheaters get away with cheating. But the NCAA is abusive and power hungry.

I will not be leaving the office early today. This asshat mortgage company can't get it together and get me the loan package so I can close out this purchase until this afternoon. Asshats. It's raining anyway.

Unfortunately it's still just water. I have until Tuesday morning to pass this thing. Although from what they tell me about the size of it, I probably really don't want to pass it. The best thing is probably going to be to just let them blast it and pass the pieces.

I did indulge in a couple of glasses of wine at dinner with friends last night. But now it's back to water. Lots of water. And I really don't like water. Which proably explains my problem in the first place.  

I will be leaving the office at 11:30 today. The stone has not passed but I'm getting back to normal. Golf today, lithotripsy Tuesday.
