I guess it's a neat effect, but I don't see how it relates to the Hokies or to football in general.  Just because you can doesn't mean you should.  I just find it odd.

Those would be cool if they were really made outta stone.  Also, I would have used a different grout!

Most of the buildings on their campus are made from limestone blocks, so that's the tie-in.  But I don't know how they expect casual tv viewers to get that.
