This is funny to me on some many levels, but mainly due to the fact this enforces that the University of Alabama will do whatever possible to win football games regardless of morales, standards or the image of the university.

Every NFL mock draft I have seen as A.J. as a 2nd rounder or better, and A.J. is the least of the linebacker problems. OLB play forcing A.J. to play a MLB and 1/2 OLB might be another issue. Brewer and Sapp are both playing out of position and we see the effect of Peters going to Arkie and the Curt's injury.
09/23/2013 - Despite sloppy play, easy to see NFL talent in SEC showdown...LB A.J. Johnson, Tennessee - A player who is consistently around the ball, Johnson led the SEC in tackles a year ago and is on pace to be one of the conference leaders again in 2013. He finished the Florida/Tennessee match-up with 10 tackles, his 14th career double-digit tackle performance at the college level. Johnson has only average range and isn't a special athlete, but he plays hard and fast on every snap, impressing with his high-effort mentality. He has strong hands and is a violent tackler who looks to strike through his target and leave his mark, something that was obvious on several occasions in this contest. While he isn't that elite-type of prospect, he is a physical, hard-nosed linebacker who leaves it all on the field. - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com

I sit in Section L, I thought 2 large portion was full, and next to the students was loud as I have heard in many years. In the south end many stay until well after the game to soak in what had just happen. I thought it was perfect environment for a big recruiting weekend. I thought best judge was Coach Jones in the presser call it "a true home field advantage"

Last year, I had a bad auto wreck and can no longer stand very well. I will be in Neyland August 31st and every home game in section L, and if you need to stand the whole game to cheer in front of me please do! I can easily look between butt's and if you will help me up I will stand with you and cheer :) It's a football game people not a movie, and I know what I am getting myself into. I HOPE I HAVE TO LOOK AT BACKSIDES ALL YEAR because I have seen enough crap on the field the last 3 years. Seeing people standing & cheering would be a nice change. This debate always gets me fired up, and now that I am handicapped it fires me up even more. Please stand and cheer!!

I am 100% Titans basher, but Jeff Fisher was a goood coach IMO that keep the Titans above the decent mark despite not having a lot talent or $.
I don't even root against the Titans anymore because it has became pointless kinda like rooting against the Vols if your a Bama, UF or UGA fan.

Sports / VTTW Message Board / UF was mentality tougher
|

I have stay the course with CDD until last night, 2010 and 2011 The Vos were behind the 8 ball with talent level this year I no longer simply give that pass. Muschamp said after Texas AM UF was gritty I 100% agree we saw that again last night. Chaney playing calling baffles me at times, the fact he coached Drew Brees the definition of mental toughness again baffles me? The fact we never scored or appear in the game after the missed extra point was just mind boggling to fragile mental state of this football team. One moment defines these 3 years of Tennessee football up 20-13 ball back in great field position after the fake punt and the offense 3 and outs. I love CDD. I love him as the spokesman’s of our program. I love the VFL program. I have raised my donations twice since CDD was hired as the coach in direct support of him and the football program, but I, also, enjoy winning a few football games. I have never said we have to be elite year in year out, but in 3 year building process I do not see growth I would except from a Jr. and Sr. leaded football team. The answer is Dave Hart to make, but I will no longer be kicking and screaming if we move in a different direction if we again finish with our “wait until next year hopes of a turnaround”.
Go Vols! I hope at season end I am laughed at for this posted nothing would please me more.

PAC 12/Big 10 have working agreement for bowls and OCC games, now we see the start of Big12/SEC agreement. Next to fall in the 4 super conference the ACC....FSU flirting with Big 12 and Canes will soon follow. SEC will take 2 ACC teams for 15 and 16. Climer has article talking about that very subject today. 4 16 team conferences that control NCAA football is coming sooner than later. Big 12 just may go from dead conference to super power with a few right moves. Any working agreement with SEC and adding the right mix of teams henceforth would be huge.

Somebody please tell me one another SEC school that has spent as much time and effort into recruiting any city more than UT football and basketball with spotty results at best in Memphis over many decades. RA and PF roar over CDD comment of distance I know at least 8 schools in SEC are closer or the same distance as Memphis to Knoxville. (Ole Miss, Miss St, Vandy, Arkie, Auburn, Alabama and LSU I believe are all closer and Mizzou the same distance off the top of my head).

The Falcons traded to get top notch corner Assante Samuel from Philadelphia(All they had to give up was a seventh round draft pick)! I love the move just not sure why they give Grimes 1 year 10 million the day before. We have 3 good Cb's one which I guess is going be a very costly Nickle. Robinson, Grimes and Samuels as unit about as good about as it gets also about 25 million for 12. I hope we get Ryan a another TE maybe a late olineman or 2, but keep hammering the D side of the ball the window is going close in a couple years.

Go down, Miss Moses, there's nothin' you can say It's just ol' Luke and Luke's waitin' on the Judgment Day "Well, Luke, my friend, what about young Anna Lee?" He said, "Do me a favor, son, won'tcha stay and keep Anna Lee company?"
I am complete metal head, but this verse forever change a major fact of my life:
Since my little girl was named after 3 of my biggest heros in life my grandmother, mother in law and well the last one is pretty obvious: Annalee Peyton, The Annalee is combination of thier middle names, and the song had nothing to do with the name thou it was the first time I hear the name. We just used it as one word instead of two.

A friend and I argue often about whether this will be Dooley's last year in Knoxville. He says Dave Hart will not bow to public demand and fanbase apathy and fire Dooley if the Vols make it to a bowl game this season because Hart recognizes that this rebuilding process can't possibly be completed in three seasons. I say that Hart has made it pretty clear already that there are certain expectations to be upheld and if Dooley has another lackluster season, he's toast. I don't think you can necessarily put an absolute to it. For example, what if Tennessee beats Florida and Alabama but crashes and burns against weaker opponents and winds up 6-6 or 7-5? Is Dooley still fired? But if we take the safe bet and assume that Alabama is a loss and Florida is a tossup, I agree that anything less than 8-4 is big trouble for Dooley. The talent is too great and the schedule is too easy. I don't expect a league championship caliber team this fall, but there's only one team on this schedule that I would consider absolutely unbeatable for this team, and only three or four others that I would consider on even footing with us (or ahead of us) in the talent department. If you can't beat any of them in your third year on the job, that's an issue.
Well said and I believe on the money. I agree with last 2 statements 100%.
