Just a couple years ago, that program was contending for a playoff birth. 

That's quite a precipitous drop.

I guess it proves that at some schools you just have to cheat. Baylor and SMU come to mind.

I know Baylor had the big rape scandal, but have they actually broken any NCAA rules?  I mean, of course they have, their rise was just as sudden and just as unlikely as that of Ole Miss. But has it been proven?  I don't think they're under any NCAA sanctions, are they?

Didn't Hurd transfer to Baylor? He has to sit out this season but IIRC that's where he went.

Baylor's sexual assault scandal was about par with other programs, one of which will remain unnamed.  What got Baylor was that their President at the time was named Ken Star.  Not hard to read between those lines.
