Hubbs says it was Dooley's choice to not coach vs. UK. Regardless of whose decision it was for Dooley to not coach next week, it is the right decision. Until last night I had felt that he should be able to finish out the season even after the announcement was made. But after that showing, there's no way Dooley should be on the sideline next week.

I find it interesting, whatever your feelings about Dooley, that once again he throws his players under the bus.  Instead of standing with the Seniors he once again puts himself ahead of the team.

Pirate, I do not think he threw any player under the bus.  If you are talking about Bray, he deserved every bit of criticism anybody gave him.  He stunk it up last night. I think they threw themselves under the bus by their poor play and execution.  None of these players looked like they have any football instincts and given the choice, they always made the wrong one. You may not like it but telling the truth about a player playing poorly is not throwing someone under the bus.  I think more coaches should tell the truth and not cover for their players.  I do not remember any player taking responsibility for poor play.  Every player on defense looked like they had no idea what to do and this offensive line still cannot remember the snap count.  If you cannot remember the play book, that is not the coaches fault.  I just am not sure these players have the ability to learn or at least retain what is important.

Agree.  After yesterday, our odds of beating Kentucky are probably much better without Dooley.  And even with no bowl to play for, no way do I want us to lose to Kentucky two years in a row.  Probably hasn't happened since the 50s, if even then.

UK beat Tennessee in football 7-0 in 1976 and 21-17 in 1977

Yeah after I posted that I recalled that one of UK's two SECC's was in the mid-70s, for which they got put on probation.

But whatever .... don't wanna do it again.
