I?m afraid this is going to get really ugly in the second half. The defense is going to get gassed.

That makes sense regarding Beasley. He's always seemed to be a gamer. I can't imagine where we'd be at LB without him.

As for redshirting Nico, I'd heard that theory too. It doesn't make sense to me, but who knows?

I?ll take that onside kick to start the 2nd half. Even something like a pooch to an open area of the field, or a line drive kick right at a UGA player. There is literally nothing to loose. UGA is the best in the country at making adjustments, and based on how both teams have played in this situation this year I?m afraid UGA will do what they want in the 2H. Empty the playbook!

I checked the NCAA rules on redshirt. I can find nothing in the 2023/24 NCAA documentation about a waiver for bowl games and CFP games for this year. They instituted that waiver for last year, as a one time waiver, but I was not able to find it anywhere in the rules for this season.

Brent Hubbs says that those in the know at UT have told him that it is still in effect. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I am informed that waiver was not time limited, in effect but not explicitely stated

With all the opt outs for the bowls I don't ever see it going away.

Thanks for the info. It was reported last year that it was a one time thing, according to the articles that I read from last December. I couldn?t find any current articles on it this season.
