Last week, Texas had the #1 SOS and was 3 spots behind FSU at a SOS at #63 (a team which was already without their #1 and #2 QBs). Bama, with the 17th ranked SOS, was 4 spots behind the same FSU team.
This week, Texas defeated the 40th ranked SOS team in a conference championship game by 28. FSU defeated a team with the 56th ranked SOS by 10 points. Bama defeated a team witth the 58th ranked SOS by 3 points.
Texas jumps 4 spots in the CFP rankings. Bama jumps 4 spots in the rankings. FSU drops 1 spot in the rankings.
How can that happen? Well, this week the committee now says that it is all about SOS and injuries.
Quite simply, they moved to goalposts to suit their agenda. Either that, or the week 13 rankings were completely irrelevant. Or both.

I hate when they try to account for injuries. How many times have we seen a player and/or team come out for their bowl game and look completely different than when we last saw them play (for better or worse)? Yes, FSU didn't look as dominant without Travis. But who's to say that with a month to prepare, they can't be just as effective for one or two games with a backup QB? They did the work that was required of them ON THE FIELD. Nothing else should matter.

6-6 Auburn completed 6 passes and had Bama beaten until an idiotic defensive strategy.
All that said, it doesn?t change the fact that the criteria changed from week 13 to week 14.

No matter what they say about rules, at the end of the day it's the humans on the committee making a subjective decision.
Which is why they changed to a committee...they want it to be subjective.

of course his examples had effective QBs that conducted an offense, something Felony State could NOT do Also, despite his protestations there was at least two presidencies that were followed to this result, including us LAST YEAR

FSU plays UGa in their bowl game. If they don't have many opt outs UGa will beat the crap out of them. FSU is not a top 4 team.

They play both sides of the ball. You bettin your house on FSU. I would say most of the Top 10 teams would beat them after how they struggled against Louisville. KY beat Louisville easier than FSU did.

You're the dipshizzle. I just said FSU isn't a top 4 team. You said they are defensively. My post was spot on. They are not a top 4 team overall Lombardi. (you are Lombardi only in your own mind).

FSU's backup QB would have been back for the playoffs....Anybody remember how our backup Milton looked after a month to prepare?
The committee made it about the QBs and a show.

The world sees it as SEC bias, and probably rightfully so. If anything, this is just going to strengthen FSU?s resolve to get out of the ACC by any means necessary.
