The writers clearly had no idea where to take the show last season.  Hopefully they'll have some direction now that they know the end is near.

It went off the rails after Tallahassee.

I was actually fairly excited when they announced James Spader would be joining the cast, but he was clearly wrong for the role, and the writers had no idea what to do with him- by mid season, they had practically written him out of the show.  Too bad they couldn't lure Kathy Bates into a full time role- I thought she was really good when she was on there.

I thought he was great at first. But by mid season it was just tired.
