OL:  much improved.  Coleman played well at C and made a couple of blocks down field.  One bust led to the early sack but otherwise protected well and the running game spoke for itself.

WR:  Inconsistent.  Jennings can be very, very good.  Pearson had a good game, a good block on a bubble screen led to a first down.  Johnson had a good time and IMO deserves more PT due to his route running, catching the ball and his blocking.  Mosley looked good and looked bad.  North, while played was a zero factor, as was Smith.  Preston Williams is fast.

RB:  WOW!  AK's move on his first TD was flat sick.  The 2nd, you just can't teach that instinct.  Hurd was very good, showed flashes of speed and fell forward.  The kid ran well in mop up duty.  Been a long time since we ran well, when the expected us to run.

QB:  do bs played well.  Fewer passes that made you think what field was he on.  Except for one series pretty much let the RBs make the yards but on his last drive he took over the game and showed the talent he showcased last year.

Coaching: I thought it was a pretty well called game.  I expected the emphasis on running, welcome in my view.
A lot to work on this week but a good start offensively.

All men dream: but not equally.
Those who Dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds
Wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the
Dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they
May act their dream with open eyes, to make it Possible.
This I did.

As always, your write-up is a good one Pirate. I was encouraged by the OL, and glad the second team got reps. Jonathan Johnson and Kelly were nice surprises.

I wish Hurd had gotten 10 fewer touches, but there was no choice.

Also, I thought Dobbs threw quite well.
