Why did the citrus get a lower-rated matchup than other bowls? Is it the SEC influence?

Is it the SEC influence? Well, SEC got one in the playoffs and three in NY6 games. So it came down to us or LSU for the Citrus. Apparently LSU has played there recently and preferred Tampa (and Tampa also wanted LSU, since the Saints play at the Bucs the day before). So the citrus kinda fell in our laps.
