I think most Tennessee fans will admit that, at this point, if Butch Jones is going to be successful at Tennessee, he has to make some coaching changes. Arguably, he stepped up to the plate and did that on the defensive side of the ball last season, but arguably, his hand was forced in that move and he still hasn't shown a willingness to break from his stubborn insistence on sticking to his friends.

So, honest question: Is there a single coach on the offensive side of the ball that is earning their keep at this point? Firing Sam Pittman to hire Mahoney was easily the worst decision Butch has made at Tennessee, DeBord was a terrible hire, and I've been on the fire Zach Azzani bandwagon for two years. Does Butch have it in him to completely retool his offensive staff??

That would require that Butch ditch "his" system
You know, the one that has worked everywhere he's been, etc, etc, etc ...

Agree on Mahoney 110%

Disagree a bit on Z.  I think the receivers have improved this year.  The group as a whole are running better routes for one thing.

All men dream: but not equally.
Those who Dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds
Wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the
Dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they
May act their dream with open eyes, to make it Possible.
This I did.
