Rosen had over 490 yards and 4 TD's in the 4th quarter.

Yep.....and Butch has done the same. OU and FL 2 years ago comes to mind among others. When you do that and your offense is going 3 and out you are just giving the other offense more possessions. Back in my coaching days with the lead we told our backs....get up very slowly. Told our O linemen to lay on the ground for several seconds before getting your big a$$es off the ground. Now with these X-Box offenses they hurry back to the LOS and snap the ball with 18 seconds left on the play clock. Don't understand it. Actually I hate it for him, because other than that one glaring flaw of going prevent (a) with a big lead or (b) on third and long, he was/is a great DC. I hate it for him because he helped lead Tennessee to some of it's greatest heights, and he deserves better. But I guess he just is blind to his fault on this one. :dunno: |
