The nightmare final four would be bammer, Oregon, FSU, and OSU.  No matter who wins, we all lose.  I guess I'm pulling for Baylor or TCU at this point.

I"ve called for an 8 team playoff for some time. In fact, for forever. 8 teams. No more ever.

It's interesting that this year, the first year of the four team playoff, offers the best evidence in support of the eight team playoff.

Ideally, I'd like to see 16- all the conference champs (not just the power 5) and fill out the rest with at-large teams.  Give the "little guy" a shot- it's worked out splendidly for basketball.  But 8 would be an improvement, for sure.
