I'm not usually a "I told you so" kind of guy, but I've been saying since midseason last year that he'd be remembered as our best PG ever. He has at least one more season in Orange, probably two. I'm feeling pretty good about my prediction.

On a different subject, did you see where Chip Cary will now be the voice of the St. Louis Cardinals? I realize that it's like he's going home but it's going to be strange not hearing his voice on the Braves telecasts.

I saw that. And TBH, I don't care who they get to replace him, unless they can somehow use deepfake and ChatGPT to recreate Skip, Pete, and Ernie. Because otherwise, it'll never be that good again.

I grew up with his Grandfather Harry.....Who could make a routine foul ball sound like a game winning home run in the World Series.

I remember Dizzy Dean, who made Harry sound sane
BTW, the Game of the Week beer sponsor in those days was Falstaff

The beer sponsor up to the time of the Big Red Machine was Hudepohl (Remember the Reds color guy, Joe Nuxhall, saying it's Happy Hudy time!)
Joe's sign off was "This is the ole left hander rounding 3rd for home"

BTW, what bit of baseball trivia is Joe Nuxhall the answer for (with no google search)

Never heard the saying Happy Hurdy time...

I have listened to him and remember him playing for the Reds...

And I drank a good many Falstaff beers.....Along with Schlitz back in the day.
