Did not notice that live, but did on the replay. This means the injury was pre-existing. I vaguely recall him leaving a game with what appeared to be a knee injury.
So my guess is, the doctors told him it was marginal, he tried to play through it, and it finished going out.
Very likely its an ACL and he is out for the year.
I am not an orthepedist, but I am a person with two rebuilt ACLs, and that's exactly how it was for me both times, but particularly the first. A diagnosis that wasn't 100% either way, an attempt to keep going, the knee goes out again (perhaps multiple times) and finally the surgery.
I hope I am wrong, but it don't look good
