All men dream: but not equally.
Those who Dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds
Wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the
Dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they
May act their dream with open eyes, to make it Possible.
This I did.

That just stinks of corruption.  He probably has some buddy in the landscaping biz and bingo - why not re-sod every now and then???  This is just flipping amazing.  Who is it that manages this mess?  the AD?  Pathetic.

did not know we had such an expert on campus, why not have him in charge of the field.

not a rocket scientist but heck dude would get double the retirement funds added and might even be cheaper annually on the payroll not to mention the added cost of upkeep.

or

go to field turf-1 million would get that down to low to no annual maintenance cost.  cut out the paint cost cause it is built in the turf, drainage not an issue with the base and playing conditions improved from the jump.

I know people want to play on grass but almost every high school has the pro player turf and it is 1000 x's better now than AstroTurf of old.

whoa, not only do I know Campbell, but Zurcher, the boss of the current grounds keeper, is someone I graduated HS with.  He played for the Vols in the late 80s.  Started as a walk on but got a schollie later on as a WR.  If he could have held on to the ball a bit better he might have seen significant PT.

Was the field in good shape at the start of the season? Or was it a mess from the git-go?
