Title: Keys to a win vs Purdue
Post by: Volznut on March 25, 2019, 09:42:35 EDT
1 - Grant and Admiral need to stay out of foul trouble - we just don't have good enough replacement bigs.
2 - Defend like we did 1st half vs Iowa. Lamonte has a big task guarding Edwards
3 - If we get a big lead, don't slow it down. Keep pushing, run our offense. Our offense is terrible when we slow it down and telegraph passes- leads to turnovers. Don't get me wrong, Barnes is a great coach, but this is one criticism I had of Barnes in both our tournament games so far.
4 - Hit free throws (we usually do this well)

Agree with all, but 2 is key.  Purdue depends on Edwards for scoring.
