If you step back and look at it, we're still stretching for top players. Plavsic, Nkamhuoa, Key, JJJ, even Zieglar and Vescovi do not represent top shelf talent. Plus another 5* bust in Phillips. They are a decent/good core that will get you about what we got. I think UT is still a stretch for most blue chippers. Now if we had the guards from two years ago, or Chandler from last year may have been different. Barnes may not get us to a FF or a championship, but we're thinking in those terms!  Next year will be a lot of new faces. A much more youth oriented team. Will we be world beaters, probably not. But I'll bet we will be in the mix. In the discussion. Barnes is 68. I'd say we have him one or two more years. It's been a lot of fun. The next hire may be the one to get us over the hump.

FWIW, I think we were at least closer this year. 

I know what everyone always says about injuries, but if ZZ was healthy I daresay we'd be in the Elite 8.
