I'm not a big fan of Thursday night games - but I am when it is on Opening Weekend.  Sweet!  Bring it on!

No, the administration is to dumb to move a game to be on a national network, just SECN (like the last DISASTER of a Thursday night game!
I guarantee they did NOT learn their lesson from the last time and it will be yet another fizzle the fans night!

2019 Texas A&M and Clemson opened on Thursday night.....Of course that was on ESPN and not the Finebaum Network.

I remember back in the day going to the Memphis Liberty Bowl for a couple of UT Thursday night games....One against Ole Miss and the other against Miss State IIRC.

Love it.  I won't have to miss watching all the opening week games on TV that Saturday by being at our game.

Meh.

But we are playing a mid major.  Rather be on Thursday night than noon Saturday.

Agree. I ordinarily don't like the idea but if it's a choice of a meaningless game on Thursday night vs. a meaningless game at noon Saturday in early September, give me Thursday night.

Agree. I expect that there will be more viewers on that Thursday than the following Saturday at noon. And let's face it, we need positive exposure.

Assuming that we win.

Meanwhile, fans who attend from out of the Knoxville area and even some of those in K-town that work are screwed
If I still lived in bubbaville, GA I would not be able attend

But it's all about the recruits, you know.  fizzle the fans who have supported the program for decades and make it possible to sustain in spite of the UT and UTAD administrators best efforts to implode it.  According to them we are the problems.
