BTW, what is wrong with our screens?  The ball gets to the receiver before the blockers are out to block
and/or they get there and don't bother to block anybody

Quick screens intended for the WR's to block it's ok.....if you intend for the OL to get out and block then it sure needs to be slower so they can get out. Then block somebody.

Our screen game has been pitiful for the past several years IMO....Those worked better the other night. Screens run right and using the tight end can be a weapon....and slow down a pressure defense.

Sat night at least three times the ball was in the receiver's hands before the linemen got out to block

With the current state of officiating, they don't waste their time on a flinch anymore!  

I agree the OL is not out in front to block for the RB's but man when they are they seem to be about 1/2 step behind.  That timing is off, we got some time to work it and hope that we can get convoy going for future games. 

I wish on the bubble screens we would run the tunnel-that gets the OL into the action and that cut back against the flow can be deadly and I know going across the whole field seems strange but if they block and the WR can cut behind the OL when they hit the hash or between hash and numbers on opposite side it can go for a long long ways. jmo

So what's the rhyme or reason for the refs to actually call offensive interference, because we definitely ran the rub or pick play on Kamara's TD.  Isn't this what nullified ND's game winning TD at FSU last year?

The receiver has to look like he's actually running a route even though everyone knows he's not. If he puts his hands out, like the ND receiver did, they will call it. But if the receiver just happens to run his "route" in the way of a defender, then he's good.

Sort of like Preston did on the TD by Smith.  He flat ran over the uga defender

Called a rub.....More like a basketball pick play. Can't believe our last one didn't get a flag. Pirate is right.

Danielson went over it on a replay.  Our WRs on his second TD (he had two almost identical ones) sort of bumped into the DBs, but it really did look like a route and as pointed out above, no hands were used.  It looked clean to me and Danielson said that was the way to do it.

I know Daneileson rubs a lot of people the wrong way, and he does me sometimes, but he seems to know football pretty well.
