Title: VTTW Lost one of its own
Post by: RockinGrannyVol on April 26, 2020, 05:32:12 EDT
BarbiVol passed this morning.  She loved the Vols so much..and our years of tailgating together leave many of us with treasured memories.

that is sad.  I also wish her family peace.  I'm glad I got to meet her, however brief it was.

Debbie was good people!

Enjoyed a lot of good times at tailgates, at Calhouns on the river in LC and at her house (though the "cops" were called once ...)

That is too bad.  I really enjoyed talking to her when she posted in the past.  Nice lady.

Sad to hear. She had it tough during the last few years. I never met her but she was always a pleasant person here and on Facebook.

Sad news. I never met her but remember her posts fondly. She was all-Vol. Peace to her family.

she was a great woman and I will miss her dearly. I never met her in any Vols functions, but through her involvement in government. She knew me wifes Grandfather, who was the Loudon County prosecutor, and her uncle, who as a Loudon Co. commissioner and Mayor for many years. Her family and mine have some severely intertwined roots

God bless her family, I know she will be sorely missed

I started posting here back in the late nineties. I was stationed at Offutt AFB from '95 to '01. It was then that the Huskers were having their run. It was excruciating when we lost to them in the Orange Bowl. It seems we have lost a lot of vttw regulars since then. There were a number of hussies then. How many are still with us? Anyone have a screenshot of a page from about 1997-98. I know Granny still posts regularly. I just wonder because they don't post anymore. That time is was at Offutt was a great time to be a Vol.

I was on the ol' "Vol Board" back in the late nineties and then came over here when Revolver started it up.  I posted as CaVol bck then.  I moved to MD in 2002 and changed my handle.  To me, things started going downhill fast after we blew that SECCG to LSU and missed out on a golden opportunity to go to the ROSE BOWL, which was only 20 miles from my home at the time.  UGH!

Ya know I was gonna say that I would have been putting up Pirate and AllVOL and a host of Volunteers had we been in that game.  What a golden opportunity lost.  That would have been a blast.
