We have a boatload of WR's...opens up a spot for a position of need.

I wonder if this was truly Powell's decision, or if the "Sabaning" of our class has begun.

And I'm not necessarily saying that would be a bad thing.  I've been saying for a while now that as the numbers got tight, some guys were going to get squeezed.

I wondered, too. But from all accounts, he's going to be a top-notch player...4-star talent packed into a small frame. I can think of a couple of commits I'd rather lose.

I dunno.  He's a 3* on all three major services.  He's undersized.  He's an out of state guy, and he doesn't play at a position of great need.  If I were going to start trimming this class, he'd be one of the first guys I'd look at.

I'm not necessarily saying that Butch told him outright to take a hike, but when the FL schools started to come at him, I wonder just how hard Butch fought to keep him.

As a general rule, I don't like to see commitments get "processed".  But apparently it's the cost of doing business in today's SEC.  I guess I can live with it, as long as we don't start doing that to kids right before (or even after) signing day, as some of our opponents have done.

Agree.  Might have been all him though.
