The product on the field dictates if it's watch worthy. I had, in my opinion more important things to do on Saturday. If you didn't, that is fine too. That's your opinion. As a result, your posts aren't watch worthy either. Either man up or STFU!

I was talking about your quote about him missing wide open receivers. I am not an ______. Look in the mirror. The coach is the one who has him in the game. Dormandy might make that throw. Just sayin".
My statement remains valid! BTW, prove to me my statement was false! You can't, because you have no freaking clue how the game is played and can't be bothered to watch it. I'll type real slow: Arky primarily played zone. Usually two deep but sometimes a cover 1, depending on our formation. We sometimes forced them into man based on formation (see our last offensive play). Against the zone the receivers were settling into their zones and were open. Most of the time Dobbs either didn't see them or threw poorly. On the WR pass #3 was open against man but the pass was thrown inside by a good 10-15 yards

Believe Jones at your own risk. Do you believe Dobbs changed the play on his own that many times? This is the same Dobbs from two years ago if you ask me.
Do you have a freaking clue???????????????????????????????????????????? The play is called READ OPTIONThat by DEFINITION, means Dobbs has an option. He was NOT, repeat NOT taking that option Saturday night! That's right, you couldn't even be bothered to watch the game on TV so how the HELL would you know!

Never mind. It was just announced that the smokey greys are coming out for Saturday's game. SG's were a given in my mind Of their two RBs I'm more concerned with #1. His quicks are dangerous against our defense. Before he got hurt against us last year he was ahead of #29. If Dobbs actually runs the play called we have a shot (according to Jones this morning the Read Option was called 15-16 times Saturday night)

Why do you keep excusing this staffs ineptitude? What have they done that has convinced you this is the right staff? Should this team not be 5-0 right now?
You might fizzleing read 'nut and my exchanges as well, before proving you are an _____!!!

There is a thread on it below I have also heard it is severely overblown and while an intense verbal altercation, nothing else occurred. At the time of the of the "issue" there were rumours of Crowder going ballistic over being replaced by Thomas as a starter so I believe that the "alternative" version of events is plausible.
Also, since the play of the player in question has led to two fumbles and a TD I hope he is the one shown the door

Those who are going in that direction need to get a grip on reality. Jon Gruden was NEVER interested in becoming UT's coach. It's just not going to happen.
It's a joke. I started the thread to troll as I'm sure the rumours for a job not yet open would start soon ...

Fat boy spent far, far, far more time with the white hat than Butch. Butch seemed to be mailing it in from an engaged POV.
An example? While Butch was being interviewed and boo'd at the end of the half fat boy was having a rather intense discussion with the white hat.
When their defender knocked himself out leading with his head fat boy seemed rather pissed that there was no penalty??

If Butch has any hope of surviving, there has to be wholesale changes with his staff. But I think we all know that isn't happening. He recruited a B team group of coaches after blowing smoke up our butts about hiring the best coaching staff in the country.
i don't disagree

Before the game and at times during the game it was far better. However, at times it was the same old couldn't even text slow.
I'm on Verizon but would be interested in how AT&T phones worked with the "enhanced" cellular capability?

How did that work out for you? It was wrong too. Which was a good thing...we should all be thankful the forecast was screwed up, not looking for a gotcha moment. But my name isn't Bandit and I'm not constantly looking for an argument so I don't know.
it turned into a surprisingly nice evening, except for the game. When I looked at the radar (before the Internet shut down) before the game I would not have expected the nice evening.

Jancek is infatuated with running a safety to the 2nd level. Agains Oregon the first year he ran the strong side safety up most plays. Oregon figured it out and killed us running plays to that area. That has evolved to where mostly it is Randolph cheating up. Florida tried to take advantage as well but with far less success. Arky just ran past him.
IMO the biggest weakness on defense is the DC.
On offense the only coach I'm sold on is the RB coach. Sure Hurd is a rare talent but before Hurd the RBs developed and Hurd has improved significantly as well.
The OL has improved but how much of that is just being another year older and in the weight room? I honestly haven't seen that much improvement, other than starting Thomas at center.
We have recruited well at WR but their development has been painstakingly slow and in some cases I'd submit we have regressed.

Say what you want about Brooks, but I can't count the number of times we were completely rebuilding the DT in the 00s, and every year a DT or two would emerge and be great. The man knew and could develop talent, whatever issues anyone else had with him.
oh, I agree about Brooks and for reasons that 99% of the board has no clue about.

meh. I'm still going to hope for 7-5. It's better for our program. 6-6 unacceptable but another losing season is a disaster. We're going to find out whether we want to or not. i think 5-7 more likely than 7-5 We should be 5-0 but are 2-3 and getting worse as the season goes along. I saw the fan base turn last night in the stadium. I think the fan base will turn out Saturday but another debacle like 3 of the last 4 weeks Neyland will be a ghost town by the time the lame chickens come to town.

Overall I agree, but there were good plays at times. Yeah, that we kept giving up runs to that rastafarian-hair-wearing POS made me ill. But Arkansas does have one of the best OL in CFB. I wonder if their OL coach is available? their OL is OU caliber in certain areas ... Our DEs have similar discipline as when Brooks was the coach (see the long backside pitch/run to their left that sealed the win).

I'm okay with staff changes, but not wholesale like you suggest. we did that with Dooley in 2011 and it was a disaster.
I'm not sure about Jancek yet. To me, the D has played really well for most of the game but then lost it in the 4th. I think this has generally been true with the exception of two drives by Arkansas in this game. But if you look at OU and UF, depth had a lot to do with it.
So a staff shakeup might be the way to go, but IMO it will only get you so far. It also depends on how this season goes. If Butch does a lot worse than expected, what good coach would want to come here? And would he do better than Sunseri did?
The D did not play well last night. Arky stopped themselves more than we stopped them. Their QB missed a lot of open receivers early. We couldn't tackle long hair and the QB all night.

OL: C Far, far, far too many breakdowns. Block reasonably effectively in the run game, in the first half. Other than the slip/ sack not sure there was a sack but pass protection was fair to poor for the most part. I'd say it was better overall but still not to SEC standards. Twice in the 2nd half the defense was hitting Hurd almost before he got the ball.
RB: A- Hurd A, Kamara B. Hurd is among the best in in the SEC. He can even shake off running into the TE (one of three plays where Hurd did not follow the TE, all successful runs.
WR: B- probably their best night in the coach A era. They had their most consistent night on routes, particularly against the zone. Against man they still have issues. Blocking is still in the C range. It was not their fault that Dobbs looked more to RBs to throw to. Williams' fumble inside the 10 hurt. Wolf continues to be under utilized, though he was the most consistent blocking.
QB: D A liability in the passing game. Missed open receivers all over the field. Seems only confident in throwing flares to backs, and then has issues with that on occasion. If he isn't going to use his running ability he is NOT our best option. Game management was not great, as was decision making. If you are going to run the read OPTION, READ!
Overall: C- Against the defense we played to only put up 20 points is a travisty. The arm chair coaches got their wish of throwing the ball more but that only exposed our deficiencies in the passing game. The run game disappeared in the 2nd half. The blocking sucked and the coaching staff seemingly panicked, down one score.
DL: C- misses Maggitt. I think Barnett is nicked up, they only played him when they were well into our side of the field, backups a clear drop off. Missed too many tackles. Got good pressure to the 4th but could not close the deal. The young guys have potential but aren't there yet. The starters have limitations.
LB: C- R-M had, for him, a poor night. Kirtland Jr had his best game. The rest are not, or are not yet SEC caliber. I would have liked to see more of 11 vs 51 at Sam. A walk on leads the SEC, in whiffs. Their long haired RB was world class against our LBs. out of position, no closing ability and poor ability to tackle.
DBs: D- flat sucked. Randolph graded to an F from me. He could not cover a TE if his life depended on it. He was Jancek's 4th LB most of the night and was the worst LB. one play he walked up and then watched the RB run by. Our corners, even Cam had difficulty covering their shadows. We did tighten up our zone coverage from last week but still treat zone as a four letter word, to have their mouth washed out with soap if tried. Foreman has improved. Our best corners IMO are Cam and Marten. Our best softies IMO are TK and McNeil.
Overall: D our worst game on defense (worse than BG) because in that game we adjusted and improved. In this one, we regressed.
Special Teams: A- Only the two drinks bring it down. KO's very good (impressed with kick and coverage on the kick from the 20). Return game is among the best in SEC. FG defense good, though how did we miss the block at the end of the first half. Good situational awareness on the fake FG. We held, despite a massive hold.
Coaching: Not observed.
