Should’ve been done about 15 years ago, but better late than never. Now we just need the big 3 cell providers to beef up their networks within a 1-2 mile radius of the stadium. Because tailgates also become a data desert from about 4-5 hours before kickoff.

I used a transistor radio "back in the day". It was either a Knoxville station or Nashville station that I could pull in to get the games.  It came in better at night, of course. Was it KNOX? Was that a station?

I remember the Journal had a better sports section.  Especially for HS Football.

I had one in the late 70s/early 80s that I used, that my father had given to me.  He got it when he did his Navy tour during the Korean War, probably in 1953, when he bought it in Tokyo, so it was a very early Japanese one (I believe the Japs made the first ones, and that was the start of their consumer electronics industry).  I used to listen to Monday night football on the sly after bedtime.  Good memories.   

I seem to have misplaced the radio. I hope it turns up, its something that was part of my father's history and he gave it to me when I was 9, so its a family heirloom of sorts. Pretty sure its in my house somewhere.   

But yea, it had the single ear plug and was AM only, used a 9 volt battery.

I never did get busted.  Good memories of the Dolphins winning some Monday night football games though.
