We should be really well set up for next year. Here are the starters we stand to lose, barring any attrition: Coleman Thomas and Jashon Robertson- although we've recruited really well on the OL, and we'll get Chance Hall back. So I still think the OL should be improved next year. Ethan Wolfe- He'll be tough to replace, with no obvious answers on the current roster or in the current recruiting class. We may not use a TE much next year. Kendall Vickers- but we still have K-Mac and Tuttle, and a great batch of DTs in the current class. And all of our key DEs are back. The DL should be a strength next year. Justin Martin, Emannuel Mosely, and Todd Kelly- though if the news on Kelly is true, we should get him back after all. As for the other two- bye. We shouldn't see much dropoff in the secondary next year. They may even be better. And that's it. We'll also get Kirkland and Jennings back. This should be a very good team next year. Notice how many times I've emphasized the word "should". Under some competent sideline leadership, this group could really thrive. But if this bunch is still being coached by the same staff...well, I have very little confidence. Remember Dooley's final season, when we returned 20 starters? Welp...

Some undisclosed leg injury, rumored to be out for the year. So he should qualify for a medical redshirt.

And if you think in terms of a coaching search... Should be a relative favorable situation to present to candidates, too.

Forgot to mention, we'll also lose our three main specialists. Daniel will be greatly missed. Evan Berry has been the best return guy in America for four years now, but we've already shown this year that we have lots of good options for that role. Medley? Addition by subtraction.

Medley has failed to live up to potential, unfortunately. Is Berry a senior? I was thinking Junior.

Senior. Unless this injury keeps him out for the year, then he could get a medical redshirt.

John Kelly is most likely gone to the NFL one this season is over. If he continues to play like he has this far, and I think he will barring injury, he will get a good paycheck next year.

I would think that he's too small to be considered a high-level NFL prospect, but we'll see.

As a Vol fan I selfishly hope that you are right, as I'd love to see him in the orange and white for another year. As a John Kelly fan, I hope you are wrong.

He has not been mentioned as ideal for NFL, unlike Kamara. Just off the top of my head he loves to run over and through college DBs. That wont be happening in the NFL much, if at all.

He's listed at 5'9", 205. Just by the eyeball test, I would say the 5'9" is being very generous, but the 205 is probably too low. He also probably won't blow anyone away with his combine numbers. I think he was only listed as running a 4.7 coming out of HS- though he'll probably do well in the strength metrics.
