The end brought memories of both those games. In the first (still IMO the worst defeat I have ever witnessed) the exchange of a missed FG with one that hit, which was the difference.  No blocked kick in this case, but the two quick passes by Hooker were more satisfying I think.   

For 2009, it's the almost-block but the FG went through.  There is a bit of a difference in that this year it would have gone to OT, but that felt a bit like redemption for 2009 to me.  That it was so incredibly close (and ugly!) just made it that much better.

My sister was dating our long snapper for that ‘90 game.  He said he’ll never forget the BOOM sound when they blocked our FG.  Probably explains why it fired so hard in the other direction.
