Penalties not called. Yes Bama, you got jobbed by the refs

I love the correlation of the volume of holds in the 3rd Quarter and their scoring spree

1st Qtr
12:35 – Holding, right tackle #65
9:59 – Holding, right tackle #65
2:42 – Holding, right tackle #65
0:30 – Holding, right tackle #65
0:30 – Holding, right guard #55

2nd Qtr
10:37 – Holding, left tackle #54
10:36 – Holding, center #56
8:03 – Holding, left tackle #54
2:12 - Holding, center #56
1:43 – Holding, left tackle #64

3rd Qtr
11:19 – holding, right guard #65, prevents UT from tackling Gibbs for a loss, / results in a TD. Another view of this can be seen at the 9:35 mark of the video
11:10 – Holding, right tackle #65, prevents pressure on B. Young, results in a 2pt conversion pass play
7:12 – Holding, right guard #52
8:15 – Holding, left tackle #54
8:46 – Holding, TE #81
8:51 – Holding, right guard #65, two handed grab of the shoulder pads, results in a TD
8:13 – Holding, right tackle #65, prevents pressure/sack, results in a 15 yard completion
4:51 – Holding, right tackle #66, prevents UT from tackling McClellan for a loss
4:51 – Holding, right tackle #54, prevents UT from tackling McClellan for a loss (called by ref)
4:51 – Holding, WR #7, prevents UT from tackling McClellan
4:37 – Offensive Pass Interference, WR #7. UT had the inside track and could have intercepted the pass in the endzone, yet UT was called for Defensive pass interference. Classic.
2:39 – Holding, left tackle #54
2:39 – Holding, right tackle #65
0:27 – Holding, left tackle #54

4th Qtr
12:11 – Holding, right tackle #65
12:11 – Holding, left guard #70
10:51 – Holding, right tackle #65
8:43 – Holding two different defenders at the same time, very impressive, right tackle #65
1:24 - Holding, center #56
0:25 – Holding, right tackle #65

I posted that on twitter to a Bama fan... That if the refs called the game right it would have doubled their penalty count.

I think if you added those to the 17 they were called for it would be 47 penalties

What is incredible is how much of a difference it makes when the league doesn't have to treat Alabama as its sacred cow. Having Tennessee win this game didn't hurt the SEC. Hence, the official doesn't hesitate to call the defensive pass interference at the end. Alabama wasn't screwed. They simply weren't protected.

yep

With the advent of the 4-team playoff the SEC is now trying to always get two in and not just protect the best option for the two team playoff.  I am sure the conference also has an eye on the expanded playoff.

Ok, here's a point to consider... are the refs capable of seeing all of it? I've always considered the axiom of them being blind as bats as gospel.

Exactly, they’ve became mortals like the rest of the teams

In the 3rd quarter, BY had to change his jersey because they ripped it to shreds holding him
