With the expanded SEC coming, we needed to make a statement that you do not mess with the 3rd Saturday in October.  I have heard a lot of conversations since the OU UTx announcement that it isn't relevant anymore.  All this "Pods" talk and possible alignments.

Tennessee and Alabama built the SEC.... period.  You do not mess with that game.

I think we put that to rest.....

It is a  pillar of the SEC. It has to be grandfathered in. I also think you have to preserve the RRR.

I read recently the most credible thing I have heard so far, which is that the leading model for the SEC is to go to a 9-game SEC schedule with no divisions at all and have three traditional opponents while rotating the other six every two years.  The most common suggestion of Vol opponents is bammer, vandy and kentucky.

If they do adopt that approach, it could be very good for us.  We have had to play bammer every year at their absolute peak, which suxes.

All men dream: but not equally.
Those who Dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds
Wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the
Dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they
May act their dream with open eyes, to make it Possible.
This I did.
