Title: Throwing to the tight end..... Post by: JeffCountyVolFan on November 24, 2020, 03:18:15 EST I just read on VQ that UT has thrown to the tight end 7 times all season. Four of those throws were by Bailey in one drive last week. :dunno:

Throwing to the middle of the field isn't exactly his forte. But in reality, he has no forte, so we're screwed from the get go. Post by: JeffCountyVolFan on November 24, 2020, 05:15:36 EST I'm no football coach, and don't pretend to know a lot from that perspective, but my first thought is that the tight end is often a checkdown throw - something that JG doesn't understand. I really think that the majority of the time he knows who he's throwing to before the ball is already snapped.
I think that a good quarterback must be able to see the entire field, much like a point guard in basketball. I don't think that JG has really ever shown that ability. |
