Title: BTW, I finished "House of Cards"
Post by: Black Diamond Vol on February 13, 2013, 12:26:29 EST
This is a show that can absolutely be mentioned in the same breath with Breaking Bad and Mad Men.  Kevin Spacy may sweep the Emmys for as long as the show runs.  If you're a netflix susbscriber, see it ASAP.  If not, it's worth the 8 bucks a month just to see it.

I'm only halfway through this set of 13 episodes, but easily Spacey's best acting job to date, IMO.

I haven't kept up with the announcements, but I assume this is it for season one and there will be no more HOC until next year?

Probably.  They've contracted for the first two seasons, so I assume the next one will be a year from now.

I think the thing I like best about that show is that it walks the thin line between politics and policy; i.e. it doesn't preach at us like other shows in this genre (Aaron Sorkin, I'm looking at you).

Exactly what I've been thinking. Hopefully that approach doesn't change because it really does make this a unique political series.
