B.Feldman of CBS Sports says in His mailbag that CDD is out unless Tennessee goes 8-4 and His pick for next UT Coach would be Alabama DC Kirby Smart. I could think of others that I would want to be Head Coach more than Smart.

He would be a better hire than either Dooley or Kiffin based on his experience.

That being said at this point I would rather throw a dump truck full of cash at a proven name.

That being said at this point I would rather throw a dump truck full of cash at a proven name.

I don't want another Saban protege.  He may be great head coach himself, but so far there's no evidence that he can develop his assistants into HC material.  Dooley, Muschamp, and Fisher aren't exactly setting the world on fire.  Smart may get a HC gig and succeed, but he would be the first.
