will define Dooley's career as a coach.  It is so freaking critical for him to win.

If we win, hand me the Dool-Aid.

This is the type of game UT has to win. The teams are really even on paper if you think about it and we are at home... at night... and they are really beaten up. If we are ever going to take a step, this is the first one that has to be taken. No excuses, no bullshizzle.

If we lose, he can GTFO. And I mean that. Not kidding. I will literally want him fired the Monday afterwards.

It will be that game for a lot of people.

Personally I don't think Chaney is the answer at OC. I think he is a large portion of the issue of why we have sucked so bad running the ball. That and we don't have any real talent at RB it seems. For whatever reason our guys don't seem to be instinctive rb's.

I think saying the teams are even on paper is being generous to UF.  I agree with you- Dooley loses this game, he needs to be gone asap.

It could be worse Randy Sanders or Pat Washington could be our Offensive Coordinators, those two have really sucked at Kentucky

So the general consensus among Vol fans is that UT should win this game. So much so that people are talking about what happens when we win, where we'll be in the big picture when we win and the dire consequences if we lose.

Now I'm really worried.

Some of you guys are really demanding. I'm with Dooley all the way, win or tie but since we have overtime that just leaves... .

I don't think it's overconfidence. I think people are just saying it's now-or-never for Dooley's program.

Plus, almost everybody on this board is saying "if" we win, not "when." At least that I have seen.

Call me an outlier, but I think we are going to kick their butt.  It kills me that I'm not going to be there.

Yeah Dooley needs this game to get fan confidence back that we can win a SEC game of importance. This is not that good a FL team, and they're beat up. IMO they will still shut down our running game, and make us one dimensional, so that once dimension better be humming. I think we should try to run anyway, to keep them honest enough.

I was going to note that myself.  My view is after we win what will the expectations be?

Speaking for myself, my expectations won't change.  I went into the season expecting 9 wins, and I was counting this as one of them.  If we win Saturday, I hope people won't think we're suddenly ready to beat bammer.

The only thing it will change is that if we can beat Florida we should have a decent shot at South Carolina. I'd still say 9-3 would be my expectation with a chance to go 10-2. I don't think we are good enough to beat UGa or Alabama based on what I've seen so far.

My formula coming into the season: count the four OOC games plus Vandy, UK, and MSU as wins.  Then, win two of UF, UGA, USC, Mizzou, and bammer.  Now two weeks in, I think I may have been hasty in counting MSU as an automatic win, but UF, Mizzou, and USC don't look as good as I thought they'd be.  So I'm holding at 9, but that could go up depending on what else happens.  If it goes down for any reason, then I'm off the Dooley bandwagon.
