Interesting how the tables have turned. I distinctly remember that coach who is now in Lexington saying that they were a "national program" who didn't need to schedule "regional schools" like UT. Now, they're slumming it in a 3rd rate conference and practically begging us to come help fill their building.
Make no mistake, though- they'll get good again under Hardaway, if for no other reason than he'll start
buying recruiting better players. They hired him straight out of AAU, and he has no prior college or pro coaching pedigree. So their intentions in hiring him are pretty transparent.
